About Artist:
Valerie was raised in Vancouver. Since graduation for the Vancouver School of Art, Valerie has been ever pursuing and perfecting her individual style. She devotes her full time to the accomplishment o her much beloved profession. Val and her husband Trevor have 2 children and now reside in the interior of British Columbia.
Statement:
Valerie celebrates the brightest colours in nature. Many of her works are inspired by new growth and new beginnings, an affirmation of life. In her florals series, vibrant and magnified bouquets are painted in a free and bold manner pulling from nature's palette and underlying abstract patterns. Like Mother Nature, Val's work is built patiently layer upon layer, ever evolving and always unique.
